Job Description:

The HR Officer is primarily responsible for managing the learning and professional development needs by:

Facilitating the growth and development of employees within the organization

Serving as a resource with regards to coordination of all aspects of skills development and training 

Advise on the quality assurance requirements set by the SETA and manage the MOU as necessary

Monitor and report on the growth and development of Internships, Learnerships and Apprenticeships

Assist with the Annual Training Report and submission of the Workplace Skills Plan

Apply for the necessary pivotal / discretionary grants as per the SETA requirements

Assist with the appraisal and personal development plans of employees

Coordinate the skills development planning / transformation committee

Procure and outsource accredited training providers which will maximise the effectiveness of the training provided as well as offering the highest possible return on investment taking value adding and costs into consideration

Report and maintain training budget / spend

Assist with the recruitment and selection process

Ensure that all job descriptions and organograms are continuously updated

Ensure all inductions and exit interviews are conducted timeously as required

Complete specific HR Reports and compiliation of stats and trends as and when required

Assist with special HR Projects and rollouts thereof as and when required

Assist with review / update / amend of current HR policies and procedures

Assist the time and attendance system for Jhb location

Assist with all ad-hoc HR admin on a daily basis

Skills Required:

Full MS Office suite - intermediate level preferred

Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills at all levels in the organisation - essential

Strong organizational skills is a necessity

Must be able to pay attention to detail to meet deadlines

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of SAQA, NQF, SDA, BCEA, LRA and other HR related legislation

Strong background in Training and Development field essential coupled with HR exposure in manufacturing environment will be advantageous

Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in same industry or similar
